Elias’ First Day Of Pre-School

Elias started pre-school today!
This morning before we started school I asked Elias, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” He looked at me. Paused. And then a little frown appeared on his face. He said, “Mommy, I don’t want to grow up…”
My heart nearly fell into a million pieces. My arms squeezed him into a hug and I whispered, “I don’t want you to grow up either.” After a few minutes I tried again, “So… when you are big like daddy and go to work, what do you want to do?” This time a smile zipped across his face, “Oh…” He stated, “I want to drive a train dute.” (Dute is his way of saying toot toot). So there you have it. He wants to be a train conductor.

Today Elias learned about the color red, the letter “A”, and what a circle is. Then we had some painting time. His new curriculum came this afternoon so we will start that tomorrow. So far pre-school has been so fun for him.

that is the sweetest thing! are you homeschooling?? i’m looking into it.
I am homeschooling him this year! I LOVE it. I ordered a curriculm my pastor’s wife told me about. She has four kids and loved it with them. It is simple, fun, and he really is learning.
I love how Elias is wearing the color you are working on. What a good idea!!
Ha… we did talk it several times!
