Memorial Day 2014

Today I am thankful for my freedom. I am thankful for the men and women who allowed that to be a possibility. Today I remember them and celebrate the freedom they provided.

Mark flew home from Africa on Friday so we decided to have a low key Memorial Day celebration. After ten days of ministering to pastors, preaching in churches, and encouraging African believers he is now fighting jetlag. So we decided to go on a family picnic.

One of our sweet neighbors brought over the perfect Memorial Day outfit for Eleanor. It was so fun to get her all dressed up in red, white and blue.

Elias is our little tree climber. If there is a tree anywhere nearby he is usually in it. I love that about him. I used to love climbing trees and playing in our tree house.

Last year we went to the park and there were so many people; this year hardly anybody was there. It was kind of fun to have the place all to ourselves. Happy Memorial Day!
