Our Disney Trip

Over fall break my family headed to Florida for our family vacation. Mark and the kids had never been to Disney World, before so I was pretty excited to see them experience it all for the first time.

My favorite part of the trip was getting to spend time with my family. It was a fun week full of laughing with my parents, accidentally spilling drinks on the bus, riding tons of rides, and meeting lots of characters. We came back with so many stories that I will cherish and I’ll share just a few of my favorite memories here…1. Character Dinners were a highlight. Owen’s face when he met Mickey Mouse was priceless. I wish I would have had my camera out and ready to capture his sweet face. He loved Mickey so much. He was hugging him so hard that his face was practically squished up against him. We had two character dinners. One with Mickey and friends and one with Winnie the Pooh. That was definitely a highlight for Owen. 2. I loved spending time with my family in the parks and at the hotel. It was fun to talk about our day every night when we’d head back to our hotel that was like Radiator Springs from the movie Cars. The boys loved the hotel!3. The Animal Kingdom Safari was so amazing. All of the animals were out and we had one of the best tours. Every tour is different because the animals can roam around, but we came at just the perfect time.4. Eating at Tony’s- the restaurant that you see in Lady and the Tramp. The food was delicious!

5. Walking in for the first time with my family was so fun. It was cute to see them experience the happy music, great snacks, crazy rides, and funny characters. Half of the trip I just watched the boys’ faces because they were having so much fun. 6. On the last night of our trip my parents stayed back at the hotel and let Mark and I go on a date together at the Magic Kingdom. We went and grabbed coffee from Starbucks on main street and then we watched a light show on the castle together. It was so cute, a little couple right next to us got engaged as the fireworks went off. With the music playing and the fireworks booming it seemed like such a fun proposal.

7.  Elias loved all the pirate stuff. Even when we stopped to rest for a minute we were transported onto a pirate ship because of his imagination. It was fun to see the boys play!

7. Meeting the princesses was another highlight. Eleanor and I met Cinderella and Rapunzel in princess hall. Eleanor wore a sweet little dress which made it even more fun.

We had such a great time with family! Check out more pictures here! I hope we get to go back someday.
