The Little Moments
As a mom, my day-to-day consists of so many little moments with my kids. I like how Sally Clarkson talks about these passing minutes in her book The Mission of Motherhood, “I’ve come to appreciate the importance of the many thousands of routine moments in a mother’s life, for it is in these moments that real greatness tend to be taught and caught.” Little moments matter.
As I’ve thought about this, I’ve found myself thankful for the time I have with my kids and I’ve tried to enjoy the little mundane minutes more. I’ve tried to say “yes” more than I say “not right now.” I’ve tried to get on my kid’s level to play with them. I’ve spent more time rocking the baby at night. We’ve read together more.
And because we’ve spent more time with our noses in a book, I ordered my second pair reading glasses from Firmoo. I’m so glad I did! Ordering online took me probably about three minutes, and I love that I never had to leave the house. The package came straight to my mailbox. If you’ve never ordered online check out this article I wrote earlier this year. It will share everything you need to know about picking out frames. And just so you know Firmoo has a “Daily New” section where frames are updated daily and you can get a 15% off coupon here.
Whatever your season of life, I hope you can enjoy the little moments. Especially the fun things like reading, talking with a family, and picking out new glasses.
