Why I Needed To Take A Break
Taking a break is often seen as a sign of weakness or laziness, but in reality, it can be necessary for our mental and emotional well-being. This was the case for me when I decided to take a break from my busy life as Marion.
As a high-achieving individual, I constantly pushed myself to excel in every aspect of my life – career, relationships, and personal goals. While this drive and determination helped me achieve success, it also took a toll on my mental health. I found myself constantly stressed, anxious and overwhelmed.
I realized that I needed to step back and take a break before it started affecting my physical health and relationships. This break allowed me to recharge, reflect on my priorities and reassess my goals. It also gave me the opportunity to practice self-care and focus on my mental well-being.
During this break, I traveled alone, picked up new hobbies, spent quality time with loved ones and most importantly, learned to prioritize my own happiness. It was not an easy decision to make, but it was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself.
